New Staunton Ebony Chess Pieces. They are exceptional pieces, lead-felt, ebony wood. As you can see, horses are real works of art. Ebony is a precious wood of high density and very fine grain, intense black, sometimes veined. With a perfect, shiny and very smooth polish, it is finely embedded with sparks of oxalic acid crystals, which gives it, in daylight, its strange sparkling appearance. The board is sold separately.
